Lent and Holy Week 2021 at Our Lady of Peace

Ash Wednesday, February 17th 
  • 8:00 AM Mass and Imposition of Ashes* 
  • 12:15 PM Mass and Imposition of Ashes* 
  • 4:00 - 4:30 PM In-Car Imposition of Ashes* Please form auto line on the Pershing Ave. side of the parking lot.  Ashes will be imposed as you drive up to the bell tower 
  • 7:00 PM Mass and Imposition of Ashes* 
Ashes will only be given at these times 

Stations of the Cross 
  • Every Friday at 7:00 PM, beginning on Friday, February 19th through Friday, April 2nd 

The Sacrament of Reconciliation 
  • Every Saturday 3:30-4:30 PM (except Holy Saturday, April 3rd) 
  • Every Monday during the Lenten Holy Hours (approximately 7:30-7:50 PM) 
  • Every Wednesday after 12:15 PM Mass 

Lenten Penance Service - Monday, March 29th at 7:00 PM - Extra priests available

Monday, March 29th 
  • Mass at 8:00 AM* 
  • Holy Week Penance Service at 7:00 PM - Extra Priests available for Confession 

Tuesday, March 30th and Wednesday, March 31st 
  • Mass at 8:00 AM* 
  • Wednesday, March 31st Confessions following 12:15 Mass (Last opportunity before Easter) 

Holy Thursday, April 1st No Morning Mass today 
  • 8:00 AM Morning Prayer in Church 
  • 7:00 PM The Mass of the Lord's Last Supper, Procession to the Repository* 
  • 8:00 - 10:00 PM Adoration at the Repository in the Daily Mass Chapel 
  • 10:00 PM Night Prayer in the Chapel 

Good Friday, April 2nd Church open for private prayer from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM 
  • 8:00 AM Morning Prayer in Church 
  • 3:00 PM The Liturgy of the Lord's Passion and Death* 
  • 7:00 PM "Mary's Way of the Cross” 
    • A version of the Stations of the Cross from the perspective of the Blessed Virgin Mary Last years prerecorded version will be available for viewing on our parish FaceBook page beginning April 1st 

Holy Saturday, April 3rd NO Confessions or 5:00 PM Mass today 
  • 8:00 AM Morning Prayer in Church 
  • 10:00 AM Church Decorating - Please stop down to help beautify our church! 
  • 12:00 Noon Blessing of Easter Food* 
  • 8:00 PM The Great Vigil and First Mass of Easter* 

The Day of Resurrection: Easter Sunday, April 4th 
  • 6:30 AM - "Son-Rise" Mass on the Church Plaza (In church in case of inclement/cold weather) - Bring a lawn chair for seating, or stay in your car 
  • Masses of the Resurrection at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 AM*

Trivia Game Night Febuary 23, 2019.  LOTS OF TRIVIA!   

Trivia about our church, our local area, and New Jersey.  A fun night had by all with dinner and eight trivia games.  The documents below are the  answers to all trivia questions except for the Trivia  Scavenger Hunt.  All answers were fact checked by a team of people.
